Creator Guidelines
The rules for making and sharing games, assets and items on LootDom, and for selling in your games.
Last updated 27 October 2026
LootDom is built by its creators. These guidelines cover everything you make on LootDom: games and places, models, scripts, images, audio, video, meshes, plugins and avatar items, whether you build them in Studio, upload them, or import them. They add to our Community Guidelines, which every creation must also follow, and they are part of our Terms of Service.
Creating may be open to a limited group of people while LootDom is in early access.
1.Your own work
Only publish or upload what you created, or what you have clear permission to use. That includes:
- Games and places: do not re-upload or copy someone else's game, even with changes, unless they have given you permission.
- Assets: models, meshes, textures, images, audio, music, video, fonts and scripts must be yours, licensed to you, or free to use under a licence that allows it (follow that licence's conditions, such as credit).
- Brands and characters: do not use other companies' trademarks, logos, characters or other intellectual property in a way that suggests they made or endorse your work, unless you have permission.
- Music: commercial songs almost always need a licence. Use audio you made, or audio licensed for use in games.
Imports from other platforms. The importer brings in games and models you made elsewhere, together with the assets they use, and uploads those assets to LootDom under your account. Only import work you created or have permission to bring over; importing does not give you rights to other people's assets. Imported assets keep a record of where they came from, so their original owners can find them, and we will remove them when an owner asks.
If someone uses your work without permission, send us a notice as described in the Terms.
2.Suitable for everyone
LootDom is used by players of every age, so every game and asset must be suitable for all of them. Everything in the Community Guidelines applies to what is in your game: its world and models, images and decals, sounds and music, text and dialogue, names and descriptions, thumbnails and icons.
- Action and combat are fine; realistic gore, sexual content, real-world drugs and real-money gambling are not.
- Do not recreate real tragedies, terrorist attacks or other real-world violence.
- Game names, descriptions and thumbnails must honestly show what the game is.
3.What players make and say in your game
If your game lets players type text that others will see (signs, names for pets, notes, custom chat), that text must go through LootDom's text filter before anyone else sees it. Do not let players share images, sounds or links that bypass the filters, and do not build features meant for private contact between players outside LootDom's chat.
4.Selling in your game
You can sell game passes (bought once and kept) and developer products (bought as often as a player likes) for LootBux. When you do:
- Be accurate. The name, description and image must say what the player gets, and the player must get it. If something you sold stops working, fix it or make it right.
- Show chances first. If a player can pay for a random reward (a crate, a spin, a mystery item), show the chance of getting each possible reward before they pay.
- No gambling. Nothing a player pays for may let them win LootBux or anything else that can be turned into money.
- No pressure. Do not trick players into buying, for example with fake countdowns, misleading prices, or by hiding what a purchase costs. Remember that many players are children.
- Keep it on LootDom. Do not ask players to pay you, or anyone, outside LootDom, or sell things that can only be delivered outside LootDom.
LootDom keeps a platform fee on each sale (currently 15%, for game passes, developer products and private servers alike) and credits the rest to you, or to your group if the game is a group's, 7 days after the sale. Exchanging earned LootBux for money will only be possible through a creator program with its own terms; none is open yet.
5.Players' data and privacy
Your game receives a player's user id, username, display name, avatar and account age when they join, and it can keep data in data stores. Treat it with care:
- Only collect and keep what your game needs to work, such as progress, settings and inventory.
- Never ask players for personal information (real names, addresses, phone numbers, emails, photos, accounts elsewhere), and never collect it some other way.
- Do not send players' data to services outside LootDom unless your game needs it to work, and never to sell it, to advertise to them, or to contact them outside LootDom.
- If we ask you to delete a player's data, for example because they have asked for their data to be erased, delete it promptly.
- Keep your game's secrets (such as keys for services you use) in its private environment values. Public values reach every player.
6.Safe code
- Do not publish or share models, scripts or plugins that contain hidden code: backdoors, scripts that give someone else control of a game, code that steals data, or code that harms the people who use it.
- Do not obfuscate code to hide what it does.
- Do not use your game, its scripts or LootDom's APIs to attack, overload or get around the security of LootDom, other games or anyone else.
- Do not create tools for cheating or exploiting games on LootDom.
7.Uploads, assets and avatar items
Every upload must follow these guidelines, whether it is public or private. Assets you make public may be used by other creators in their own games, as the asset's settings allow, under the licence in our Terms. We may review uploads and remove ones that break the rules, and uploading content we have already removed is not allowed. Avatar items are currently made by LootDom.
8.Groups, collaborators and tools
When a group owns a game, the group's owner and the members who manage it are responsible for it. When you invite collaborators into Studio, you are responsible for what is published from your game, so only invite people you trust. If you connect an AI assistant or another tool to Studio, you are responsible for what it makes and publishes under your account, exactly as if you had made it yourself.
9.Enforcement
If a creation breaks these guidelines, we may remove it or make it private, remove items from sale, hold back or reverse earnings from sales that broke the rules, take away the ability to create or sell, and take the actions on accounts described in the Community Guidelines. We tell creators what we removed and why, unless the law or someone's safety prevents it. If you think we got it wrong, contact [email protected].
